All applicants must fill out the DS-160 online visa application at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/. After successfully completing the form, please print the confirmation page that includes the confirmation number. You must bring the confirmation page with you to your interview appointment at the Embassy.

Applicants for E visas should also fill out the online form. However, the employer (or the applicant) must also fill out the paper DS-156E.

When you schedule your visa interview at http://visainfo.us-visaservices.com/ or through the call center, you will be asked to provide the DS-160 confirmation number from the online application. In case of an emergency appointment, you must still fill out the online form at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv

Photo Requirements

You must bring two identical photos of the specifications described below with you to the visa interview. Please bring photos even if you submitted a photo to the online application.

The photograph must:

Be exactly 5cm x 5cm
Photos should be in color and must be taken against a white or off-white background
Appear clear/ be of good quality
Show the full face from the front view. It is preferable that the ears be exposed
Have been taken within the last six months
Head coverings are acceptable only when the applicant's face is completely exposed. No sunglasses.
If you ware eyeglasses, please make sure that the eyeglass lenses do not reflect the flash light, thus obscuring your eyes.
